1. The Four Core Modes of Vim
Vim treats text editing as a conversational language composed of **Verbs** (`c` change, `d` delete, `y` yank/copy) and **Nouns / Motions** (`w` word, `$` end of line, `i"` inside quotes).
To return to **Normal Mode** at any time, press Esc or Ctrl + [.

Combine verbs (`d` delete, `c` change, `y` copy) with modifiers (`i` inside, `a` around) and targets to edit structured code instantly:
